Impatience

Take my burdens God I am letting
One day I know I’ll be in heaven
So the future I am not dreading
God it feels like I've been waiting for this change to come
But I put my trust in you because I know you're not done
I worked hard and hoped that it would bring me a reward in time
But it only made my stress and my frustrations more defined
I was so confused it felt like I was on the borderline
Still don't understand how that could be a part of your design

Now I look back and I see that trials made me stronger now
I got so much to be grateful for I can't be somber now
I have fallen many times but that's when I get off the ground
Can't wait 'til that day in heaven when God says I got a crown
It's easy to lack patience when you're going through the motions
For a better future in my life I can be hoping
Even in impatience I'll work hard because doors have opened
It's so hard to wait sometimes but through God I am coping
