[Intro]
It goes like this
I never see the world in colour
(I, I never see the world in colour)
I pray for things I can't afford
[Chorus]
I never see the world in colour
I pray for things I can't afford
Cars and clothes, and items on the checklist
Living in a world full of cravings
And addiction where no one is bored
[Verse 1]
Funny (Funny)
Funny how ungrateful you can be when there's people hungry
People dying every day and your life is lovely
A borderline obsession for a life to be filled with money
If only, if only
[Chorus]
I never see the world in colour
I pray for things I can't afford
Lights go out, I'm cold with no electric
Waking up and have nothing for breakfast
An affliction of just being poor
[Verse 2]
Money (Money)
It's funny how ungrateful you can be when there's people hungry
People dying every day and your life is lovely
A borderline obsession for a life to be filled with money
If only, if only
[Chorus]
I never see the world in colour
I pray for things I can't afford
I never see the world in colour
I pray for things I can't afford
[Bridge]
Head down 'til you feel fine
But grow in the meantime
Don't feel helpless, helpless
Look forward but rewind
Thank God for the good times
Pray for things I can't afford
Pray for things I can't afford
[Chorus]
I never see the world in colour (In colour)
And I, I pray for things I can't afford
I never see the world in colour (In colour, I never see, I never see)
I pray for things I can't afford (I pray for things I can't afford)
[Outro]
I never see the world in colour
I pray for things I can't afford

I wrote this song whilst in Bristol with Jack Sibley and Daniel Hylton Nuamah. I remember thinking about how lucky I was that making music had become my job. Sitting in a beautiful home in Bristol writing and being creative, really made me reflect on all the things I must be grateful for. It’s easy...
