I’m the Worst Partner I Know

Something's wrong but I don't know what
I'm always judging what another man's got
What is wrong and what is not
I only know that I think a lot

Sometimes I longer live like the sun
Because I think darkness is much more fun
I don't care if I'm right or wrong
I don't mind staying here too long

Sometimes I'm as strong as a priest
Then at once I'm as weak as a beast
If you should ask me why I'm here
I'd say: I'm waiting for some friends to appear

Sometimes I take a look at the thoughts in my mind
That's when I start wondering what's theirs and what's mine
But there's no use in fighting all the time
For even if you win, you can fight yourself blind

There are many among us who don't need fame
There are also many who are not the same
If you should think that it's a shame
You've got to realize that even they're in pain

My roots can linger for a million miles
But they want me to stop for a little while
If I give them my many lives
They say: our roads are covered with too many lies

Mosquitoes come when I am the light
They suck my blood till my flesh looks white
If I should be a mosquito for the rest of my life
I sure would commit suicide
