[Spoken Word]
My cheek and heart
In the stomach of a mountain lion
My eyes at the bottom of a spring
Nudged by salamanders
Rolled by salamanders
Monkeys stick my fingers into anthills
My hair burns
My lungs clung to wet grass
To embrace the newt
My knees pray to an owl
My spine bent up toward the moon
It prays too
My teeth, the necklace of a god
My dick disappears
My nose, back and forth on the shore
My ears floating on a cloud of frost
My fingernails are an important part of the ritual
My ribcage in a waterfall
My tongue flys south
My legs rot with the trout dads
My arms rot with the trout moms
My brain rots with the trout dads
And my soul?
My bones break with twigs and leaves
And my throat still coughs and wheezes
But my soul?
What's a soul?
What's a soul?
What's a soul?
What's a soul?
What's a soul?
