I Got Shot At (Interlude)

When I was 17 years old I was walking home from school and I got shot at. So my mom sent me over to stay with my father on the west side of Detroit. So the first day of enrollment at my new high school, I was walking home and got caught in the middle of a shootout. Out of all places like this was the shit I was trying to get away from. So what I started doing was stealing my father's pistol everyday, taking it with me to school, stashing it in the abandoned house across the street from school. I mean it was fucked up taking my father's pistol and shit but hey, I was trying to protect myself from the crazy shit that was going on over there
