[Monologue]
The next song on the album is called I Don't Hate Your Friends. And I don't remember exactly how this song came to my head but I, I was up in the mountains and I was fiddling around on the piano and I was probably a few drinks deep, maybe more. And I just started kinda coming up with a chorus and I took it down to LA the next day to my buddy Teal and he booked a little bit of studio time, and we went in, and we, we wrote this song probably in about three hours. And conceptually really, I just wanted it to make it like a house party, um, that you go to when you're growing up. I remember going to these parties when I was growing up when I was a teenager and I would just be riddled with anxiety because there was this, always a girl that I wanted to talk to and I would think you know if I could just get a little bit of one-on-one time I know I could prove myself to this girl, and you never get that chance because everybody's got their cliques and their crews, and then you start drinking, and then you start overthinking and then you get really, you know, down on yourself about it. And so I wanted a song, that, that kinda just encapsulated that whole feeling and so I feel like this song, this song definitely does that for me, and um I hope it does it for you, this is I Don't Hate Your Friends.
