The song “Hurt” is about a scooter accident I had when I was 18. I was in a semipro freestyle contest. I come in on this 20-foot roll, and I drop in full speed going. There’s a lot of different influences that go into this song specifically, but if I was to list really the primary influence, it would probably be “Sandstorm” by Darude. Have you heard that? That was fucking incredible. You gotta check that out.
