This is a song i wrote in April of 2019. I wrote it because I’d stay up almost every night thinking about after we die, our bodies sit through forever not getting to do anything. This song is sort of like a reminder that people with this fear (Chronophobia) are not alone.
[Verse 1]
If time was on my side
It wouldn't keep me up at night
And I’ve been restless about the end
When I talk no one understands
[Chorus]
I don't know where to go or hide
I don't know why I
Avoid the fall
Too young to fear this way
Too young to slip away
[Verse 2]
Hear my last breath
As I slowly descend
My eyes can’t comprehend
Why I can't escape this pain
Bound by unbreakable chains
[Pre Chorus]
Unsure if I want this journey to end
Or if I want to stay and stand
As every tick passes by
It just feels like a waste of time
[Chorus]
I don't know where to go or hide
I don't know why I
Avoid the fall
Too young to fear this way
Too young to slip away
[Bridge]
The more that I live
The closer that I get
[Outro]
When I die
I want you to look into my eyes
Tell me stories don't end like they seem, like they seem
When I die
I'd want to have lived my best life
‘Cause I won't ever be here again
I don't wanna lay down forever
If forever’s all there is
