Housefly

I ain′t going nowhere chained up to this chair
The home that I've been living, it doesn′t want me there
Trying to kill a housefly as it thickens up the air
Later on, I'll be smoking over there

Well, I am not a criminal, but I've been stolen from
Listen to that early morning animal on the lawn
Trying to kill a housefly nesting on my grandpa′s clock
Then I glide across my study with a rock

Crushed against the door frame, scabbed into the paint
Panting in the hallway, I limp over to the sink
Throw the times into the trash and sit back in my chair
Then a housefly comes circling from the stairs
