Joe Bagale (aka Otis McDonald) wrote this song about the dreams he would have of his wife, while as a touring musician. Being away from her for long periods of time, he thought of these dreams as like a holiday and couldn’t wait to go back to sleep at night to see his wife in his dreams.
[Verse 1]
Stuck in a hotel room
With some hotel blues
You’re so far away
My eyes filled with weight
Every sleepless night
They burn bright
I long for your touch
I miss you so damn much
Got this mind on [?]
If I could only get to sleep
I’d look for your smile
Oh, it’s been a while
[Chrous]
I can hardly wait for the holiday
One more sun away, and I’m yours
If could race time, I’d run every step
To all we’ve ever dreamt and adored (yeah)
And I can hardly wait for the holiday
One more sun away, and I’m yours
If could race time, I’d run every step
To all we’ve ever drеamt and adored
To all we’ve еver dreamt and adored
Ah-ah-ah, oh-oh-oh
Ah-ah-ah, oh-oh-oh
[Verse 2]
I’ve traveled around the world
But you’re my Mother Earth
You’re my first, you’re my last, you’re my everything
I wanna tell you every day (yeah)
And every ni-ni-ni-ni-night
Extend my recess
I feel so refreshed
One sunset flies away, to chase another holiday
And find your smile
I hope you stay a while (yeah!)
[Chorus]
I can hardly wait for the holiday
One more sun away, and I’m yours
If could race time, I’d run every step
To all we’ve ever dreamt and adored (yeah-yeah)
I can hardly wait for the holiday
One more sun away, and I’m yours
If could race time, I’d run every step
To all we’ve ever dreamt and adored (Yeah)
I can hardly wait for the holiday
One more sun away, and I’m yours (Oh oh oh)
If could race time, I’d run every step
To all we’ve ever dreamt and adored (Yeah)
To all we’ve ever dreamt and adored
To all we’ve ever dreamt and adored
To all we’ve ever dreamt, dreamt, dreamt, dreamt
Ah-ah
To all we’ve ever dreamt (ah-ah)
Ever dreamt
Holiday
Holiday, yeah
Holiday
Holiday, yeah
Holiday
Holiday, yeah
Holiday
Holiday, yeah
Holiday
Holiday, yeah
Holiday
Holiday, yeah
Holiday
