Higher Self

What’s the definition of a dream?
Is it something deep inside you that’s alive and makes you scream?
I used to think that dreams could be achieved and they’d be done
A dream is never stagnant, ever moving like the sun
What happens to the dreams that we don’t care for and neglect?
I wonder if they die and turn to feelings of regret?
My dreams are something sacred, I guard them with my life
I dream in technicolor while they dream in black and white

Even if I never make it to the mountain top, you will never see me stop
All is never quite enough, I’m a diamond in the rough
Looking in the mirror I feel little, I feel small
SO I fall down on my knees and try to listen to the call
