Hearth Boy

He flows up the front porch
Words clutter his brain
Water flies down the gutter
Into buckets of rain

He opens the umbrella
And puts down his door
It just all feels the same
He’s done it all before

I don’t know why
But i ask for an answer anyways cause i’m
Trying so hard
To seem different than everyone else cause i’m a
Laggard of time
No rhyme or reason could prove that i’m anything but a
Hearth boy

He turns on the tele
And watches a game
His eyes don’t really focus
His lifе is out of frame

Why even try
To ask a quеstion i know the answer to is a
Casual whine
Of all the little challenges that come up in your
Pretty little life
Some thing i only get to dream of as a
Hearth boy

I’m of several minds
And each one is telling me to do something so
Radically inclined
To do things that take me away from the
Stone fireplace
Now my namesake is in question cause i’m no
Hearth boy
