Heart’s Reflection Lyrics

VERSE 1
Dear Lord
Thank You for my morning rise many ain't see today
Many flashbacks in my mind, I give You praise
I thank You for a sound mind, a sound body, 100% health
When I was stuck You guided me, I thank You for Your help
I thank You for my gifts, talents and family
I thank You for my friends, loved ones surrounding me
I thank You for dying on Golgotha to recompense my sins
So I can accept You in my life and be made born again
I worship You for God You are Elohim
You are miraculous, no one's above You, You are supreme
You are King of kings, Lord of lords, You are the greatest
You don't need accolades and You don't need rewards
You are a Jealous God plus You are fair and just
You are not a god of favoritism or a god of lust
You're Alpha and Omega, the First and Last
You're omnipresent, God of the future, present and past

HOOK
This is my prayer, this is my song
This is my journey, trillions of miles long
This is my life and this is my path
This is my anger and this is my wrath
This is my block, this is my pain
This is my story, let it give You glory
These are my thoughts, words, feelings and all I've been through
And I present them at Your feet and I give em to You

VERSE 2
Dear Lord
I'm going through a lot, it's so much pain, I need Your strength
Because in these circumstances it's hard to maintain
What hurts you in the physical seems to affect the mental
And if you down mentally that tends to weaken life in the spiritual
The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak
Both want control over me, the Spirit and flesh compete
Lord help me not to be bound by flesh, help me to do what's right
I love You so I want to do what's pleasing in Your sight
Help me to endure, sometimes I want to quit
My car overheated again causing me to throw a fit
My blood struggling, it's like my family barely getting by
Life ain't no crystal stair, please wipe my tears when I cry
The more I do, the more they talk behind my back
Help me to grant em mercy so I can cut em slack
It's like ever since my grandpa died
Sorrow manifested in my interior
It's much pain deep down inside
You said You'd bless those that are persecuted
So I rep You till I die even if that means I'll be executed
It's like I'm not close to many, it's like I walk this path alone
But I can always talk to You, the line is never busy
I don't even need a phone, there are no numbers to dial
I can always talk to You because You see the pain behind my smile

VERSE 3
Let me use
My encounters to help those that are spiritually bleeding
This testimony is raw and uncut, that's what they're needing
I pray that I can bring deliverance though my rhymes
One may hurt now but healing will be brought in due time
For all my people are dry, my block is hurting
They left on the streets to die by the leaders which are deserting
It hurts to see em, most are old friends, please deliver my people
Before they perish or before Christ come in the Sequel
But if You use me to rescue my hood
They may give honor as honor is due which is good
But help me to praise You as they give me praise
And like Kurt Carr we will praise You for the rest of our days
I thank You now for the things You've done and the things You're doing
I thank You for being my First Aid when I thought my life was screwed
So as I bring this prayer to an end
I have total faith in what You're doing
Christ's name
Amen
