The first single off their sixth studio album “Mosaic”, their first independent effort since their debut album “Our Home Is Gone” from their independent MySpace era back in 2005.
This single also marks their comeback to their pop rock sound that made them well known between the scene.
[Verse 1]
Looked back but just for a minute
A daydream, I think I was in it
Homesick for sunburns in K town
Lit up, we burn high, we burn out
[Pre-Chorus]
Now my heart feels heavy
Have I lost myself
Cause I can't get over it now
Things can get so messy
When you're someone else
And you can't get sober somehow
[Chorus]
All of the words you said to me
I needed, I needed
You couldn't know what it would mean
To leave it, to leave it
Looking for something new but I keep looking back
Is that all I have
Can I get better than that?
Can I get better than that?
[Verse 2]
I think my youth was a weapon
Cut deep to teach me a lesson
These days I'm friends with depression
I'm stuck in my intermission
[Pre-Chorus]
Now my heart feels heavy
Have I lost myself
Cause I can't get over it now
Am I still not ready?
Only time will tell
But I can't feel anything now
[Chorus]
All of the words you said to me
I needed, I needed
You couldn't know what it would mean
To leave it, to leave it
Looking for something new but I keep looking back
Is that all I have
Can I get better than that?
Can I get better than that?
Can I get better than that?
[Chorus]
All of the words you said to me
I needed, I needed
You couldn't know what it would mean
To leave it, to leave it
Looking for something new but I keep looking back
Is that all I have
Can I get better than that?
(My heart feels heavy)
Can I get better than that?
(My heart feels heavy)
Can I get better than that?
