I'm staring through the static
I'm sensing that we stand on unstable ground
My words fail me now
Show me what my eyes won't see

I'm struggling to peer through the fog

To see what is there for me

I'm cutting to the marrow, right through the bones
Of a haven I once called home

I've been digging to the roots of all that I know

But it's still not enough to believe in the words we preach (We burned every page of the book)
If we all turn our backs to the storm when the walls are breached (And I still cannot bear to look)
