GREAT FULL

I’m tryna walk in humility, stay low, still glow
But this pride be creepin’, like a shadow in the meadow
I wanna be grateful, count blessings, no stressin’
But that need to be great got me second-guessin’ my confessions

Start with a prayer, Lord, help me stay meek
But then I’m thinkin’ ‘bout the platform, I be climbin’ to the peak
Am I seekin’ your face or just the crowd’s applause?
Tryna balance between humble and breakin’ all the laws

Pause—take a breath, let me realign my mind
Got my hands raised high, but my ego tryna climb
I say I’m grateful, but I’m grindin’ for the top spot
I say I’m servin’ you, but my hustle won’t stop

I’m wrestlin’ with my call, destiny’s my rival
They say the meek inherit, but I’m livin’ like survival
I’m tryna be thankful for the life that I’m livin’
But I’m fightin’ for greatness, like my name’s already written

Switch the cadence up, like I’m switchin’ up the flow
Grateful for the gift, but I’m pushin’ for the glow
I know I gotta choose, but the path ain’t clear
Gratitude or greatness, I be caught up in the fear

Fear of fallin’ short, fear of never reachin’ heights
But the higher that I climb, the more I lose sight
I’m tryna be grateful, but my eyes on the prize
Tryna be great, but I’m blinded by the lies

Flip it—what’s the cost of the fame that I chase?
Is it worth losin’ grace just to keep up the pace?
I’m torn between the two, like I’m stuck in a cage
Grateful for the life, but I’m burnin’ with the rage

Maybe I’m too focused on the “great” that I miss
The beauty of the small, the blessings in the midst
I’m strivin’ for the crown, but I’m losin’ the throne
Tryna be grateful, but I’m fightin’ on my own

So I take a step back, let the pride take a fall
Grateful for the journey, even if I never ball
I’m tryna find the balance, but it’s hard to see the way
Greatness ain't the answer if my soul goes astray

Bring it back to the root, where my heart should reside
Grateful for the grace, let the greatness collide
With the love of the King, that’s where I find peace
