WeaponsWeapons are the core of Grand Theft Auto, next to cars and cops. You never want to be caught in a fight without one, but don't fret. There are PLENTY to choose from in this game. From the close up Golf Club to long range sniper rifles, and even occasionaly a rocket or two, this game has them all. Whether you're beating someone to a pulp or blowing up a SWAT van, there's a weapon for you.

Ammu-NationGood ole' Ammu-Nation. Providing tools for wreckless players to cause havoc since Grand Theft Auto III. Ammu-Nation slowly unlocks firearms and other weaponry for the player to purchase throughout the game. In this title, there is actually a training minigame where you compete against others to shoot at wooden targets down a firing range. This is how you can earn weapon skill quick and easily.
Just remember that the clerk provides you with highly dangerous weapons and doesn't ask questions, so it's best not to bother him. Whatever you do, don't go behind his counter or point your gun at him. Let's just say he gets angry.

Pay-n-SprayPay-n-Spray is an intrical part of the GTA series. After murdering multiple pedestrians, running over a few cops, and jacking a pregnant lady's minivan, you can take a quick drive into Pay-n-Spray, lose your heat, and fix your car all up. You can use Pay-n-Spray as many times as you would like for the low cost of $300. These shops are marked on the map by a black spray can.
Garage and Mod ShopOnce you progress a decent bit into the game, you'll unlock mod shops. These places can make your average vehicle a sports car if you have the money to shell out. From aesthetic things like spoilers and body kits, to performance items like engines and nitro, these mod shops have it all. The upgrades cost quite a bit of money, and they add depth to the car gameplay. Just simply drive into a shop marked with the red wrench icon, and spend away.
