Maybe make a few dollars and enemies on your way to the top. So you begin to work for "Bubby". If you can do a few task, like steal a taxi or drop off some drugs. As you get wrapped around being above the law, you drive deeper down the rabbit hole. You kill police officers, slaughter a married couple and more. You're turning out to be Bubby's main man. Sooner or later, you're approached by a man that goes by the name Cabot. He warns you to never cross Bald Man Sonetti and puts a x on your head. You flee, but this is only the start of your journey.
