I dreamt about a kid who wasn’t happy
Abandoned by her family
A pariah in her youth
Everybody told her she was crazy
Classified and certified
They knew it was the truth
One day she went swimming in a fountain
Wishing that she knew just who
Was chasing after her who
She fell asleep and dreamt that she was drowning
She had an imaginary heart attack
And her mind fell through
And she woke up in a glass house
Where everything was pristine
So she started throwing stones
Shards of glass were glistening
And she was screaming at the floor
“I don’t want this anymore!
Please just make it go away!
Oh I just want to be okay.”
Monsters started creeping from the shadows
She curled into a ball
And then she held her breath
Closer they approached her, they were growling
She closed her eyes and waited
For her eminent death
Suddenly she thought of something special
A time when everything was bright
When nothing was a threat
The closer they approached her they were howling
She fought them and accepted
Her gruesome death
And she woke up in a glass house
Where all her toys had been destroyed
She decided to restore the order
That had since been unemployed
Once again she begged the floor
“I don’t want this anymore!
Please reset my brain
I just want to feel insane!”
And now she’s living in a glass house
And nothing feels the same
She’s lost inside her mind
She doesn’t even know her name
But still she’s pleading with the floor
“I can’t take this anymore!
I just want to be like you
I just want to be see-through!”
