Ghost Light

All the crowds have gone and had stayed inside
Nobody walked anymore no one even tried to drive
Le Pub is dark for god knows how long
Shall I turn off the light? Or should I leave it on for a while?

The ghost light shines, just like a nascent sun

There’s nothing here except whisky and beer
Upstairs the pigeons snooze or bill and coo
There’s nothing else to do
