What inspired you to start music?

Growing up Both my parents were musicians, and wouldn’t get me a phone, tv, or let me play video games, so I started writing scripts and screenplays, eventually getting into writing and producing songs.
In the past year, I graduated high school early and moved out of my hometown on my 18th birthday, driving to Los Angeles in a renovated school bus.

What do you plan this year?

My plan for this year is to be consistent and true to myself every day as an artist and person.

What's your newest single?

The song is called Issues. It is listed as alternative, but I don’t think it fits within a genre that easily.

What inspired this song?

I started this song with just the chorus a year ago, a month after I moved out of my hometown to make music in LA, during a period where I was losing touch with a lot of friends and getting out of a strained relationship. This song came out of feeling alone in Los Angeles, even though I was where I had wanted to be my whole life.

What makes this song different?

This song is different than my other releases because in the last year I’ve matured and my entire perspective on life and my creative process has shifted. The new goal is not to just put music out but to be intentional with it and take my time to make something that represents me as a person. In issues for example, I threw in a sample of a woodpecker after the first verse because one my first passions growing up was going outside to see and hear the birds around Ithaca. The pileated woodpecker is still my favorite bird no question so I threw it in.

What are your plans for the song?

In terms of what I want it to achieve, my only goal was to put it out. I have no expectations on reception.
