18 years of a loving home, kept me safe no matter how hard it was raising a broken kid, may still be broken but you've taught me right from wrong when teaching me kindness, can't be there forever when I gotta find my own path, you can't be the gatekeeper that's always protecting me, can't be the gatekeeper that keeps me from hurting, you can't be there for me forever, you're terrified of me bеcoming an adult when adulthood isn't all it turns out to be, you have rulеs I've broken from time to time, learned what a perfect love is , it'll be harder to leave , you can't keep being the gatekeeper, can't be the gatekeeper
