“Frank” is an intimate, emotional listen. It touches on getting lost in the affection of a lover. It’s also arguably Baraz’s best song to date.
[Verse 1]
Show me all that you know (Show me all that you know)
Water me, I will grow (Water me, I will grow)
Place the map on my skin (Map on my skin)
Go where no one has been
[Chorus]
Take me to the place
Where we'll never fade
Underneath the stars
Love me in the dark
[Verse 2]
I look at you and I see all the parts of me
Swaying to the beat, lost in your melody
I swear (I swear, I swear, I swear)
My divine energy, open up for me
You're everything that I need
I swear (I swear, I swear)
[Chorus]
Take me to the place (Oh)
Where we'll never fade (Where we'll never fade)
Underneath the stars
Love me in the dark
[Outro]
Love
Love (Me)
Love (Me)
Love, love
Love, love
Love
Love
My divine energy (My divine)
My divine energy (My divine)
My divine energy (My divine)
Energy
My divine energy (My divine)
My divine energy (My divine)
My divine energy (My divine)
Energy

This track is me looking back at myself. I wrote this specific line in the verse – ‘Show me all that you know, water me and I’ll grow’ – and I wrote that in my era of Urban Flora. I wanted to revisit that time in my life so it’s really based around that time in my life.

This could be a reference to fellow R&B artist Frank Ocean, who also has the smooth sound that Alina has in his music.
This could also be a reference to Amy Winehouse’s 2003 album Frank. Alina has said she is inspired by both the album and Amy Winehouse’s music.
