You like to think
That we're all floating on a river
Of pure clean water
Heading right back in to the sea
But the blue sea chokes
On ribbons of silver
Wondering why there's far too many people
Floating back into me
Then you're in your boat
And you're following the river
Meandering gently back down
Into the sea
And you're full of hope
That as long as you're together
You can handle anything
That's thrown up by the sea
Standing all alone
Between the sеa and the river
My thoughts drift out from the еmptiness
In front of me
Maybe there's too much choice
And just not enough illusion
And that confuses my way
Of thinking clearly
But it's the only way to cope
When you're presented with a river
That won't stop flowing 'til
It reaches the sea
