Flayed Transfiguration

Bones are aflame, contained by asbestos skin
But you love it when I kneel down for my cardinal sin
You look hungry for kindling
I am desperate for absolution
It hurts to hold back the fire and I am wearing thin
You drop an ultimatum, holy water or kerosene
I must extinguish myself, or give in to the flame
The fuel pours down my throat, you say the ritual must begin
