How Did The Song Come Together?
This was the first song we released in LA. My brother Tal produced it and we had a homie play bass and guitar on the track. We mixed it produced and mastered it all in house. One of my favorite songs. Tal had this little beat sample he put some drums over..and that was enough for us to pursue the so...
What was the inspiration behind the track?
I wrote “Fancy” about the rare type of girl who grew up rich but carries it gracefully and maintains integrity and humility. It’s a love story. Its wishful thinking in a romantic sense. It was just a dreamed up night with a girl who had dirty money but a beautiful soul.
What was the process of making the song like?
Tal had this little beat sample he put some drums over..and that was enough for us to pursue the song. We took it to a friend named Dru Decaro who played guitar and bass on it. At the same session I went in to cut melodies and that hook just came out while I was in the booth. When I walked out every...
