“Eric Bledsoe” is the heart wrenching middle track of “Missions & Convictions”. This kicks off what I call the “rollercoaster” part of the album. It’s a song about isolation and depression, named after NBA guard, Eric Bledose, who released a tweet in 2017 saying “I dont wanna be here”.
[Verse 1: Apex Frazier]
I don’t wanna be here, elephant in the room
Fell inside the magic bottle now I only feel consumed
Self consuming thoughts mixed with the snickers from the dude
Who said "You ain’t you when you hungry", homie I’m dying for some food
I assumed, that we was gon’ be cool
But I’m stuck inside this basement like I’m stuck inside a tomb
I resume, to my self depleting dialogue
And I don’t think you want to know how long it’d take to read it all
Dive inside the catalog, of catacombs
Die inside the bad vibеs, of a broken home
But I don’t talk about it, all you need to know
I don’t wanna be hеre, brokenhearted huh
Let’s restart it
[Chorus: Tsan]
I don’t wanna be here (I don’t wanna be here)
Alone anymore (Alone anymore)
Dying for some freedom (Dying for some freedom)
Don’t know where we are (Don’t know where we are)
I don’t wanna be here (I don’t wanna be here)
With a broken heart (With a broken heart)
I don’t wanna be here (I don’t wanna be here)
Don’t know where we are (Don’t know where we are)
I don’t wanna be here (I don’t wanna be here)
Alone anymore (Alone anymore)
Dying for some freedom (Dying for some freedom)
Don’t know where we are (Don’t know where we are)
I don’t wanna be here (I don’t wanna be here)
With a broken heart (With a broken heart)
I don’t wanna be here (I don’t wanna be here)
Don’t know where we are (Don’t know where we are)
[Verse 2: Apex Frazier]
I always try not to think about it too much
'Cause if I do things might get too rough
Never knew how to do that cool stuff
So I kept it to myself like some earbuds
Do you hear us?
Or is that just me?
Am I depressed?
Or is it my MD?
Am I indie?
Or do I claim that from the lack of the offering sheet
They want my offering, sheesh
They ask for 10% each
Is that the manager or pastor, cause they both stole from me
Now I’m jaded as ever, you shouldn’t talk to me
I guess I’ll see you in November, off to Milwaukee, huh?
Eric Bledsoe

This is actually the first song that I give myself production credits on, despite overseeing the whole album. I fought hard for the simplistic piano line driving straight into the drop. In addition, I played the string intro on audisea’s midi, before he polished it up.
