There’s a save the date
On the refrigerator from last May
Next to the photo booth faces
We made on my cousin's wedding day
I made her a part of everything
Maybe that’s on me cuz

We were a tattoo I wanted everyone to see
We were hand prints with a date stuck in concrete
We were initials in a heart carved on a tree
We were love notes passed in class, written out in ink
But now I wish we were just pencil & paper
So I could erase her

I wish I could lie, and say that goodbye
Gets easier with time
But in the back of my mind there's all of her lines, that I can't rewrite
Maybe I’ll learn to live with it
