Emerald Runner

I took a ride on a rainbow
Stepping inside I walked down the aisle
Taking a seat by the window
I watched the landscape retire

The silent engines propelling
The vibrant colors ascend:
A weightless journey beginning
To ecstasy without end

I closed my eyes for a moment;
A thousand ages came sweeping by
Carried along by the soundstream
Receding thoughts multiply

I see old friends drifting by me
Their knowing smiles shine out from the clouds
Forgotten planets around them
Dance on the winds of the sun
