Enter in the elevator and about face/
Select the level that I’m exiting as I hang/
Suspended in an empty metal oversize safe/
Ascension will begin the second that I press 8 uh/
Feel the jerk as the gears turn/
Twistin’ the vehicles mirrors and the wheels all smeared/
Slight tremors as light flickers/
Under my nikes is a slight pressure, fright sets in, I question/
The safety of antiquated contrapments/
If the cable should snap, the basement a fatal impact with/
Uneven “pings” of the floors as I rolled past/
Impatiently pressing the button like it’ll goes fast/
Ominous hums of the motor metallic odor/
Why the hell ain’t this out of order, on the floor I done found a quarter (Nice!)/
Picked it up from the beige carpet/
Under a gray splotch, mysterious stains dot it/
Panels displays markings, engravings of gangs crossing/
Neighborhood names off, conveying sustained conflict/
Balanced in the sky, gravity defied/
Too high for the faculty to climb, should challenges arrive/
Either trapped or I tragically will die/
I arrived, say goodbye to this raggedy-ass ride/
