To degrade our
Manifestations of freedom
They will gush their hatred over
The inadequate
Ortodoxy in this age of reason
Only hurts the unprotected
The invisible
The death of god
Brought light but also contempt
As the wrath of the believers escalates
Hate
Poorly disguised as faith
Threatens the advance
Of our collective sense
And buries us in shit
And for yet another age
We will have to bear
With the eccentricities
Of obsolete doctrines
And the older they get
The harder they ought to hit
To convince the young
To indulge in their lunacy
And though god is really dead
His ghost lingers still
And idiots everywhere
Offer their lives to him
And the worst offence
Is the painful irony
Of greedy clergymen
And their doom machines
Created by the godless science
It's.... egregious
But no amount of violence
Will change the fact that
Religious faith of any kind
Is but one of humanity's desperate attempts
At making light of the ugly
And inevitable end of life
And religions themselves
Are just another pillar
To sustain old power structures
But they will fall
Because everything falls
The young reject the old
And noone can stop
The moral zeitgeist
Once it is set in motion
Today they call themselves believers
Tomorrow their offspring will call them victims
