Dragon Tail

Buried treasure—put a sign that it isn’t there
If you stole it, put a sign that you unaware
The head revealed, but the tail wasn’t often shared
Wounded creature left the mountain just to lose its lair

Hoping that the village caught a sight and gave a glare
'Cause reflections of a spark lighten the despairing
Peripheral vision—columbarium staring
All the living that we lost, you remember to thank 'em

Circumstantial love just in place for a bandage
Wait for it to dry, then you manage the damage
Picking at the scab gonna lead to expansion
Like moths to a flame—it’s a fatal attraction

Nothing was the same—dying embers of passion
Gazing at the sky, hope you seeing a dragon
To reignite your light with a swipe of its talons
If the force was too strong, you be slipping off balance

Falling off the ledge—they can’t bury a phantom
