“Dr. Music” catches the initial ‘80s disco, rock and pop feeling and mixes in the same song. It is basically a love song, love for music and love for girls. According to Joe Bouchard, this music was inspired by the Larry Williams’ “Bony Moronie” and Roy Orbison’s “Pretty Woman.”
[Verse 1: Eric Bloom]
Dance on fire with me, babe, the flames ain't gonna stop
Come on and show me that you're ready to trot
So if you really wanna do it, you better do it hot
Ah, my babe, tell me that you're scared
But your fear is just driving me mad
[Chorus: Eric Bloom]
Well, you can call me Doctor Music (Call the doctor)
Music is my game (I need a doctor)
Well, you can call me Doctor Music (Call the doctor)
Music is my name
[Verse 2: Eric Bloom]
Girl, don't stop that screaming, you're sounding so sincere
So much beauty in the tracks of your tears
So if you wanna face the music, open up your ears
Meet my friend, Calamity Jane
Hear the rhythm in the sound of her pain
[Chorus: Eric Bloom]
Well, you can call me Doctor Music (Call the doctor)
Music is my game (I need a doctor)
Well, you can call me Doctor Music (Call the doctor)
Music is my name
[Instrumental Bridge]
[Chorus: Eric Bloom]
Well, you can call me Doctor Music (Call the doctor)
Music is my game (I need a doctor)
Well, you can call me Doctor Music (Call the doctor)
Music is my name
[Instrumental Bridge]
[Chorus: Eric Bloom]
Well, you can call me Doctor Music (Call the doctor)
Music is my game (I need a doctor)
Well, you can call me Doctor Music (Call the doctor)
Music is my name
