[Verse 1]
Woken up, I'm blinded by the London light
Tossing 'round an overdose
Dress myself in all things painted black
Roll us up a cigarette and dance out the night
I'll carry you home
[Pre-Chorus]
I'll take your advice and realise
I'm so deranged
I'm so, oh deranged
[Chorus]
And it don't get easier living alone
It don't get easier living alone
[Verse 2]
Rest in peace
To life that I lived last wek
Demise to what we had, of sorts
Breathin' honesty
So selfless in an old-fashioned way
But babe, you're not here to stay
[Pre-Chorus]
And dance out night, I'll carry my ass home
Never took your advice to realise
I'm so deranged
[Chorus]
It don't get easier living alone
And it don't get easier living alone now
[Bridge]
Call out, oh
'Cause we got everything we need
But no space
We're countin' the minutes left to waste
Oh, left to waste
We got everything we need
But no space
Waking up alone, how things have changed
How things can change
[Chorus]
And it don't get easier living alone
It don't get easier living alone
And it don't get easier living alone
It don't get easier living alone
And it don't get easier living alone
It don't get easier living alone
[Outro]
Woken up, I'm blinded by the London light
Tossing 'round an overdose
Deranged was written by Oscar Dawson & Tom Switlek & James Vann & Lachlan Jones & Cameron Little.
Deranged was produced by Oscar Dawson.
I wrote most of the lyrics for this song before adding any instruments. The song came about whilst I was staying over in London and I had up until the first chorus written with a rough melody. Once I brought the song home it took a whole new direction of meaning.
