Daisies

Daisies die when bullets can fly across the open sky
Steel and blood will never save us
Enough is enough

Isn’t it clear when the clouds come apart?
The flowers carry sunshine in their hearts
Carry some love through the day from the start
And don’t conceal, reveal your heart

When did anyone get away, away from a steel rain?
Somewhere far away from this place
Love never goes to waste

Maybe it’s up to us here on Earth to decide what a child fears –
Is it a gun? A simple question
Where will a daisy ever grow up?

Daisies would only get shot by water guns
Innocent blood dripping from a window sill
Why do we give anyone a way to kill?
