It don't matter bout the time
It can always be your prime
Said it before, this just a note
I left myself as a reminder
I can't even think sometimes
Gotta breathe & close my eyes
A son my Ma don't recognize
From the shadows of her mind
Yet & still i'm on the rise
Tears falling from the high
Toward the flames i left behind
Diving in that fire blind
Bloodshot, still shooting for the stars
& whats beyond
Its hard to balance with surviving earth
& trying to hold your ground
Where too many turn around
Set you up & let you down
Whats goes around
Well, hell, i should know, i been around
& i'm still around
Lord willin' long enough
To see the seeds i planted grow
& get some flowers
I'll roll em up & take a stroll at golden hour
Fit the sun between my pointer & my thumb, behold the power
Life is all perspective
The brightest are reflective
Check yourself before a pocket
Before dollars count your blessings
