Corruption on Earth

These silent spirits
That gaze upon the restless face of earth
Do not know of how I’ve wandered seeking a home

It is cold in the sky where the faces of eternity shine
As if weeping that finite burn, the hammers of creation
In the beating heart of man

The red eyes of raging mountains will dim and turn to stone
Before the last word spoken will leave its cage of flesh

The turning of this world seems laboured
And cracked are the walls in the house of clay
Yet freely soar the winged ones in their firmament

To thrive in the silence between worlds
And tread passage through voids innumerable

Taught to walk in silence
Through the raging of thunder

I cannot speak, so I raise my fist
I cannot sing, so I raise my voice
I cannot live, so I die fighting
For every one you kill a thousand more rise up
