[Intro]

Kcab ym no s'ti ,ti ees I

[Verse 1]
I live in the city
Tower's blue and the sky is black
I feel the night
I see it, it's on my back
On my back
It makes me cry
This European air, I swear it does
Randomly ungrateful for
Grateful for the night
Solemn night walker
To our telephone talker
It's you
Maybe it's you
[Chorus]
Oh, one night
On the bridge we stood
Concrete over water
I think you remind me of the night
But also of the day
I think of Italy, champagne
I think of Spain
[Post-Chorus]
I wanna be there
I want more than my head
Should've meant it when I said
Now I'm more than my head
[Verse 2]
I'm glad you take me as I am
Whatever shape with woman, man
Black or blue, a filthy cheat I am
And you still come to see the band
Light and dark at once
Never lonely in holy metronomy
So dazzlingly dark because of its bright
And truth is God and God is light
The space behind the sky
In which the darkness depends on
In the creation of light
[Chorus]
Oh, one night
On the bridge we stood
Concrete over water
I think you remind me of the night
But also of the day
I think of Italy, champagne
I think of Spain
[Post-Chorus]
I wanna be there
Two sides of the moon
Black spots on the sun
Concrete Over Water was written by Georgia Ellery & Taylor Skye.
Concrete Over Water was produced by Taylor Skye & Georgia Ellery.
Jockstrap released Concrete Over Water on Mon Apr 11 2022.
The video was born out of the celestial themes in the song. Eddie and I created the characters (Moongirl, Voyager, Magma Boy, etc.) to explore the feelings of wonder, inspiration and the search for answers, to reflect what the song represents to me.

It’s a night time song and it’s a summer time song, it’s quite wistful and romantic, and it’s about standing on a bridge at night with a friend.
