This comedy piece was written for the first Hoffnung Music Festival in London in 1956. It begins with the orchestra playing Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto while the pianist plays Grieg’s Piano Concerto and eventually drags in themes by Schumann, Gershwin, Richard Addinsell, and others.
