Coyotes lurking on Sunset Boulevard have become self aware
Last night one stopped just to ask me
"Is it true, you've stared at the abyss?"

I said "Yes, yes... of course I have, but was so let down when it just stared back
So I buried my songs in the backyard."

The coyote gave a coy smile and said "The very thing you observe becomes the master that you serve"
