People are struggling everywhere
For sure
And capitalism makes people struggle in really inhumane ways
In really, really undignified ways
And I know what needs to happen
I know it's systemic change
I know it's um
Making the rich pay their fucking taxes
It's making sure people aren't taking more than what they need
Like when I was growing up the rule in the house
Was that you don't get a second plate
Until everybody's has one plate
You don't get seconds until everyone's eaten once
And unfortunately that's not the rules where we live
People are hoarding
And people hoard
And I think that the thing that challenges my optimism sometimes
Is how much greed I see
