I started school
And made some friends
Some of them were cool
And some were less

I finished first, second
And third grade
Moved down south
Wishing I could’ve stayed

But then
Some of my friends left
In my head ran off and wept
My friendships died
As years went by

I made more friends
On the way
I’d see them again
Every day

Now I’m walking down the street
Meeting all my friends
I hope they never leave
I wish these friendships never end
