Life gave me lemons
Made honey and ginger tea
Wrote down my intentions
Got right with the Elohim
Took naps in the daytime
Stretched my legs
My mental playtime
Shrugged off the weight on my shoulders
Took stock what's on my plates mine

I heard on the grapevine
Schoolyards to graveyards
In what's left of Palestine

I need rest to make time
Revolutionary but godly
Embody that with a great mind
Would be beautiful
But difficult, in a world so corrupt
No wonder the righteous doers
Had to hide it in the occult
Double sided sword in the shadows
Where they got their thumbs pricked
