Bruise

When it comes down to it
I don’t feel that different
Same house; same flesh
Same blood it’s always been
But when i come back to that house
It’s been rearranged
New furnishings
Familiar in an honest way

Blue like a bruise when you lay down
Clumsy
Confused
But it’ll turn around
And look at me

When it comes down to it
The cycle remains
Closer to you
Seafoam and glue

Things stay the same
Like thunder and rain
And as soon as i’m done i begin again
