Remember when you said you were gonna take me ice skating
And I got so excited
I did my hair and everything
And we were on the way there when you stopped the car
You pulled over on the side of the road
Looked me in my eyes
And you told me that you loved me
You couldn't stand the idea of seeing me fall
So we turned the car around and went home
Well, I think I never really let that go
And last weekend I took my niece to the rink
And she had the time of her life
She kept falling and falling
And each time she'd get up she’d smile at me
She begged me to join her
Come on Auntie, you gotta try it's so much fun
But then, it was too late
I was terrified
I couldn't stand the idea of falling
I guess that's funny because now
All I want to do is fall
