When we were just beginning, we had to go to school
We had to read and study somebody else's rules
And we were born of education and tired of being at school

We do as much as our teachers about a lot of things
And when we tried to tell them, they called us ding-a-lings
And we were born of education, didn't match our wings

Well, kids, today I like the world has changed a lot
A good teacher teaches and also gets taught
And being bored of education is something long forgot

Because we really all are children, no matter what our age
And in life's great workbook, we've each got our own page
And we make the same equation, no matter what our age

Oh well, the old teach the young one, the young one teach the old
There's no need for competition, the story still gets old
