Blow Out is a song by Radiohead for their album Pablo Honey. It is about Thom Yorke’s issues with low self esteem.
The song also features several references to Greek mythology, one being Achilles and another being Medusa.
[Verse 1]
In my mind
And nailed into my heels
All the time
Killing what I feel
[Chorus]
And everything I touch
(All wrapped up in cotton wool)
(All wrapped up in sugar-coated pills)
Turns to stone
And everything I touch
(All wrapped up in cotton wool)
(All wrapped up in sugar-coated pills)
Turns to stone
[Verse 2]
I am fused
Just in case I blow out
I am glued
Just in case I crack out
[Chorus]
And everything I touch
Turns to stone
Everything I touch
(All wrapped up in cotton wool)
(All wrapped up and sugar-coated)
Turns to stone
[Instrumental]
