Blind. - a letter to my mother

my mother taught me what love was before any other man could lay eyes on me.
two leaves i forgot the lesson at least i think she does.
i don't really feel at home without her, nor do i feel like i have a place to roam.
if i was to die today i'd remember every thing she said, but by then i'd- i'd still remain unknown.
my sweet sweet sorrow will tempt me as i stay all alone.
everywhere i go i can smell her sweet tart perfume, same smile i remember as a child... when i heard the yelling from the rooms.
that's why i remember when that same perfume fell and broke from the argument.
i wish i was old enough to appreciate every moment i've had of you, but i was young and i was dumb, and i was a child

i miss you and i miss your smile, it's the most beautiful thing even a blind man can see. now i see your silhouette at night, wandering beneath the tree. i can't see you anymore and i feel so numb, whenever i hear knocking, it's never you at my door.
and i hear your voice but i don't know where it's coming from.
today, i still question mankind and i miss you so much.
my tears practically turned me blind.
