BLACK PRESENT Annotated

You ever notice the mental shackles on us?
Freed from the back of a bus and want the back of the bus.
Mind in a rut; Stick stuck in the crack of a nut.
Everlasting all dramatic sadness with the happy of none.

The immaculate ones. King Jr baffled at us.
Laughing in sadness, we're off the wall wreaking the havoc he fought and sought to stop so we wouldn't have had it.

And it's awful. After Pres. Lincoln AWFUL.
After Martin King, AWFUL. We prefer to off a local.
The race that started global became local became loco.

All the ministers and priestess, preacher praying for Jesus
Slaves praying for peaches got whip marks and screeches
Seen as social outcast, leaches.
We won equality and now we act like we don't need it.

At times we're still not seen as equal.
Hiram Revels, his people, we're looking at a sequel.
Black History isn't for history or people.
It's to remind that the world is still evil.

Upgrade the torcher, upgrade the torches, flame throwing porches, scorch a woman's abortion.
This info is important.

Black History is past, is still present. It happens on different levels and people go to war for it.
The real history happens when the power of the lord will hit.
It's not in the past it just went through metamorphosis.

And I'm BLACK, that's fine.
We commit the same crime, I'll get triple the time.
Triple the pen work, triple surveillance.
Less food to eat and worse get less maintenance.
Color. Treated differently by the Government.
I'm hating it, you loving it, you're above mine in the Government.

Cotton picking and weaving,
Picking seeds for seedless,
Speaking truth is treason,
On the knees and begging for pay raises, cause day to day wages ain't getting bills paid or food upon the table.

It's labeled the white man will lose his wage to drugs.
The black man was born in the drugs.
Birthed in the mud, with smoke in his lungs, debt, and no funds for his sons.

It's not being racist or making attacks.
It's a statement of states, stating the facts.
Cause Black History's present with no presents for Blacks.
No money for school, sell our souls to Iraq.
Guns off the rack, PTSD brings it back.
Now we're insane and asylums are where we're at.
Maximum Security, Alcatraz.
Fought for our country, lived, and we're still in body bags.

Used to not have clothes, now the clothes we have sag.
Like we don't even want to wear them, just pull them off of our backs.
Looking in the future, hoping for a neutral mutual.
But history repeats itself.
That's wisdom from the future.
