From out of my pocket
I pulled the envelope
Read again that story inside
Sure enough, it says I'm being let go

I lose

So, I say I can always read this later
I'm gonna go uptown and find something to do

I find a picture of you-know-who and someone new

So I stopped right there and wrote him a letter
